About the Artist

David Kagerer was born and raised in the Aspen Valley of Colorado. In 1997 he married his high school sweetheart Brandy and now have 3 children. A son and two daughters -Triston, Koral and Skylar.  After some artistic success in the "Valley" Dave moved briefly to Iowa where he won acclaim for his Western Art in the Nations Largest County Fair and Art show.  But Dave's love for the West Coast got the better of him and he moved his family to Portland, Oregon where he currently resides.

Dave's love for the ocean and nature is easy to see in his seascapes.  He has now become an avid surfer and is now using his passion as his canvas by painting original oil seascapes on used surfboards. This art medium is causing allot of buzz.  With upcoming showings and surfshops losing there used inventory the word is getting around about the young artist.  With Dave's father being a Colorado Cowboy and Veterinarian, Dave still paints the occasional Western, but for now he is using this new technique to create what he considers his "greatest body of work."

But Dave's talents don't stop at the end of a paint brush.  Since a young age Dave was very involved in music thanks to his Mother and Grandmother who were classically trained pianists.
Starting out in coffee shops in Colorado to dabbling with numerous bands in Portland, Dave is now currently working on his first solo album with original songs, tributes, and guest appearances by some talented friends. The album will be called "Forever and Two Days" after a song written for his wife.
